What’s your “opposite world?”
“People who perform at high levels without burning out, have an ‘opposite world’ outside of work. This is an activity/ hobby which puts them into a state which is the direct opposite of the mindset they have at work (and recharges them).”
Piano and yoga have recently provided solitude and quiet that put me in a starkly different mindset compared to my days at work. After the chaos of last week (see below), I appreciate my opposite world.

JJ Redick’s Process. 90-second clip offers a peek inside the insanely regimented daily process of JJ. It’s no secret, routine and discipline are required for success at any level, he takes it to the extreme.
Who Becomes an Entrepreneur? A critical analysis from The Generalist outlining traits of entrepreneurs. So much of our perception is driven by a few examples of rockstar entrepreneurs, the reality of entrepreneurship is less glamorous, including difficult childhoods, mental health issues, and not being a specialist.

Crypto Bank Had a Boring Collapse. From Matt Levine’s Money Stuff, a review of Silvergate Bank. Worth noting: Silvergate is a crypto-friendly bank and largely associated with crypto, but this was a failure of a bank
Startup Bank Had a Startup Bank Run. Also from Matt Levine’s Money Stuff, Silicon Valley Bank is collapsing and tomorrow should bring more chaos. This was a thorough review of the situation.
Lyric: Circles by Mac Miller
We lost an hour of sleep last night, reminding me spring will be here soon — and that in just a couple weeks I’ll be another year older. As I reflected on that fact, Circles by Mac Miller played in the background.
Mac references the circles of life. In the season of Lent it felt appropriate to start the lyric with a quote from the Bible: “Do not be afraid.” (Matthew 14:27)
Do not be afraid, do not be afraid
You're feeling sorry, I'm feeling fine
Don't you put any more stress on yourself, it's one day at a time
It's gettin' pretty late, gettin' pretty late
Damn, and I find
It goes around like the hands that keep countin' the time
Drawin' circles
Stay Curious,
Dan
